School Music Programs

Sesaya has provided schools, preschools and childcare centres throughout Toronto with:

  • Weekly and monthly music-and-movement programs
  • PA Day, March Break, summer and special-event programs

Your program is customized to meet your centre’s goals and schedule

Your program is fully customized in content, schedule and length. Enjoy a flexible schedule of regular weekly classes or special events (i.e., P.A. Days, March Break, Summer programs), or talk to us about another schedule.


You can try us out for a reasonable (and refundable) cost!

We’d love to talk to you about your child care centre’s goals and needs. We’d be thrilled to do a demo at a nominal charge at your facility, with your students. If you sign up for an ongoing program, we’ll apply the charge against the ongoing program fee.


Our programs deliver high-quality, dynamic and age-appropriate instruction.

Sesaya`s school, preschool and childcare programs are age- and developmentally appropriate, and are taught by fun, dynamic and fully qualified instructors. Interactive components include:

  • Visual, auditory, and tactile play, combining a wide variety of colours, textures, sounds and movements
  • A wide variety of music from a diversity of cultures and styles
  • Creative movement and free and synchronized group dances
  • Music exploration and instrument play-along
  • Sing-along to new songs and familiar favourites, and call-and-response songs

We provide everything (except for the students – you provide those).

Sesaya provides all props, instruments, manipulatives and recorded music . . . and from week to week and program to program, what we provide evolves with your program. The focus is always on your students singing and dancing with their friends — and having fun.


All of our programs are based on the science of learning.

When children participate enthusiastically, aided by interaction with their peers, learning occurs!Sesaya programs are childhood music education that is derived from the philosophies of:

  • Carl Orff (Germany: Orff-Schulwerk): Orff believed that the easiest method of teaching music is to draw out a child’s inherent affinities for rhythm and melody and allow these to develop in natural ways.
  • Zoltan Kodaly (Hungary: Kodaly Method): According to the Kodaly Method, the voice is a child’s most precious instrument, and singing is the basic musical activity. 
  • Emile Jacques-Dalcroze (Switzerland: Dalcroze Eurythmics): In this methodology, the body is the source of all musical ideas, and movement affects musical perception. 
  • Shin’ichi Suzuki (Japan: Suzuki Method): The central belief of Suzuki is based on the evidence of universal language acquisition. Children learn music much like their native language, through listening experiences.
  • Rudolf Laban (Slovakia: Labanotation): Laban, a major pioneer in the evolution of modern dance, promoted the idea that dance should be readily available to everyone.

To these pedagogical aspects, Sesaya adds unique instruments, music and dances that enrich your students’ learning in diverse ways.
